SLEEPING BEAUTY'S CASTLE
Welcome to Sleeping Beauty's Castle
This castle, located in the department of Indre and Loire in the Loire Valley,
overlooks the Indre River. It is near the towns of Chinon and Azay le Rideau.
When touring the Loire Valley (especially Indre and Loire), this is a visit you don't want to miss.
A staging of the famous fairy tale and a beautiful exhibit of period costumes depicting castle life,
nicely complement the visit of Sleeping Beauty's castle and its gardens designed by Le Nôtre.

Numerous illustrious characters such as Chateaubriand, Claire de Kersaint, Vauban
and many more came and stayed at this Indre and Loire castle, which belongs today to the de Blacas family.
It is one of the most visited tourist sites of Indre and Loire.
Visitors can now discover memories of past centuries, as renovations allowing access to the attics and the old dungeon have been completed.
The castle is heated; fires are blazing in the fireplaces!
